I honestly do not feel this school even deserves 1 star. My best friend has a child that goes here and I feel so horrible for everything her and her child has to endure. I have heard voicemails, and phone calls from different staff members here. Its pretty obvious they are not very fond of her child so they harp on every negative behavior and document heavily in an attempt to label him. I taught elementry before and ive always felt this was a tactic used to get rid of problem children that they no longer want to deal with. It takes the heat off of their lack of experience and places all the blame on the parents and child. Certain staff members at Hamblen have made it very clear how they feel about her child with subliminal statements, poorly disguised as care and concern. When you ask her child about their day at school the responses are heart breaking “it was ok, I just wish I didn’t have to go”, “No one likes me”. This is a horrible first impression of school for a child to have. I dont care how a teacher or staff memebers feels about a child.. the child should never be able to tell. I mean come on!!! At least a child has an excuse to be childish, whats their excuse!!!!

Friends and I always tend to go play soccer at hamblen but the bad thing is the school has no water fountains outside
