As and ex student towards this school i fully up bring that the school was sorting its self out. As i did leave in 2012, i do know that the school’s new building was just getting on track. I do fully recommend any student to go to Hanson Academy is it is a well up bringing of a quality school. The only downside I’d suggest is that their is a minimum amount of staff that are wanting so little yet so much of the students, and don’t take care of their priority. Their are 11-12 year old’s smoking, and teachers telling them to ”hurry up” you get isolation rooms full and no room. To sit and read other peoples reviews on this school is appalling and very disrespectful. The fact that no student goes a day without being bullied, and no teacher is their to sort it? The fact that all students are hardly getting their predicted grades.

When Mr Brooks left Hanson School he left the school in embarrassment. As the new principle is their to solve and fix everything, i strongly recommend this school to be at its highest standerds by the end of this year and next.

Amazing school. The people writing the reviews bad reviews here need to grow up as it’s not the school it’s you. You’re the ones messing around in school then you don’t agree that you have done something wrong. Then you go here and start to write bad reviews. Stupid children grow up. If you don’t want to study go and do something else.
A terrible school that have proven time and time again that they do not care for their pupils, least of all those with health conditions and/or additional needs. To rate Hanson Academy one star out of five is an act of generosity.
Terrible school and sixth form wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Teachers use intimidation when confronting students and only care about the schools image instead of the actual students.
I was brought up in a Manchester school and this school allows kids to smoke as young as 11 years old, they should not let this happen, the teachers are responsible for their pupils inside school grounds,so why are they letting this happen,as parents we want this nonsense to stop now and act in the proper manner DO NOT LET KIDS SMOKE IN SCHOOL
