The leadership and staff at Harbor are genuinely dedicated to each child’s success. The curriculum is truly customized for each student and they way they implement the learning is customized for each kid as well. Whatever is necessary for my son to feel confident and capable, they embrace – it’s fantastic. They very much do WHATEVER it takes for each child to be successful. We have been at HLA for 4 years now and our boy’s life has completely turned around from the public school experience. When we started at Harbor, I wasn’t sure if my boy would ever have the ability to be self-sufficient and independent, but now he is completing dual credit classes at ACC, has a job and will be getting his driver’s license very soon. If you need a nurturing, compassionate, caring AND accountable environment for your kiddo with learning differences, HLA is a home run. Consider yourself lucky to have this institution so close by. Thank you Deborah and all your staff for your commitment to and passion for our kids.
Harbor is an amazing school for kids with ADD, Autism, and any other neurological differences… They take such great care of my two kids and know exactly how to help them, whereas the public schools were pretty clueless. My kids are happy, and I know that are getting the attention and care they need, and that they are in a safe, controlled environment that mirrors my values. The lady who runs the school is also a counselor who specialized in working with kids with neurological differences and she has been awesome helping our family figure out how to deal with and understand our children’s issues.
