My son went to Machesney school from 85-92. Being an Indian, he was not treated equally by staff and principal name mrs Dranon. Mrs. Dranon thought he was not good enough for better education. Student’s parents kept their kids away from him. BIG MISTAKE. My son passed the gifted test and got admission in gifted West middle school. My son turned out to be big time medical doctor. He is a surgeon and very successful. Few kids who went to school with him turn out to be drugist and doing no good. One boy from his school asked him to take drugs. My son denied the drugs and told him not to even go near it. For non white people, If you want your kids to do well in the school stay away from these kind of schools where there is lot of racism by even teachers and principals. In India we believe Acharya (teacher) devo (God) bhava (like). Means teachers are like God. Few of these racist teachers should be ashamed of themselves for being like this.
My son and my daughter attended the school and I have nothing but good memories of those years.
Kind people work here. You do not need to wait to get help most of the time either.
