My Testimonial

My experience attending Harmon’s Beauty School was a pretty good experience. I didn’t know that taking up a career like Cosmetology could be so much to take on and so much to learn about, but it’s worth it. The instructors there are great, especially Ms. G. I like how if I was struggling with certain things she wouldn’t hesitate to stop what she was doing to show me how to get it done or when times got hard and if I felt like giving up Ms. G pushed me through until the end and never gave me the opportunity to quit.
As far as the learning portion A+! I received the extra help and guidance that I needed to be successful in this field, to graduate and be able to successfully pass my State Board and become a Licensed Cosmetologist. Despite of the minor disagreements, Harmon’s is a great school to attend and that would be my first recommended school to anyone that wanted to take up Cosmetology.
If I was asked would I go through it again I would simply say to them “Of course I would and I wouldn’t do anything differently. It’s something I love to do, it’s my passion. Even through the stress, sweat, blood and tears I’d most definitely do it all over again.” Thank you Ms. G for allowing me the opportunity to become a student at your school, thank you for giving me the proper education, skills and techniques to be successful in this field of business.
Thank you for always staying on me about being serious and focused and most importantly thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching me the real definition of PROFESSIONALISM. Thanks to Ms. G, Ms. Griffin and Ms. Frazier I am proud to say I attended Harmon’s Beauty School and I am now a licensed Cosmetologist is the state of Maryland!

My daughter and I have been coming to the hair school for the past three years. I experienced hair loss because of years of chemical damage due to over-processing from perms (sometimes applied by non-licensed individuals and myself). My daughter is 14 years old and I decided two years ago that I wouldn’t subject her to the same hair loss in her late 20s or early 30s that my mother, grandmother and myself all experienced. We started coming to Harmon’s to get her press and curl. I have noticed a dramatic difference in her hair texture and managablity. The students are well-supervised and I love Ms. G and her staff. They are very professional and courteous. My daughter is a 14-year old diva, and even she loves the way they style her hair. I, too, began getting my natural hair styled recently after wearing wigs for over a year. Additionally, I got hair loss and thinning hair treatments at Harmons over the past year. My hair is now thicker and healthier. I am “a single-mom on a budget”, so I’ll admit that I often skip my own hair appointments so that my daughter can get her hair done. Last week, however, I got my natural hair styled at Harmons and LOVE IT. I have received so many compliments from family, friends and co-workers. Whether you have permed hair or natural hair, give them a try….you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
