Hello, my name is Johnpaul Mott (or JP) and I’m in 9th grade (Yay!). I wanted to do this for a long while, but didn’t have the chance. Now I do, with better knowledge. So let’s begin, all back in 2014. I was in Gateway Elementary school, 5th grade, my teacher and my science teacher told me that this school was the best. I was so hyped to come here, but at the same time a little nervous (common problems when your going to be a 6th grader). And so it began, my bus had arrived, I was all in my uniform, and my mind was ready to be learn. Through out my 6th grade-7th grade times, this school was phenomenal! The teachers were nice, the food tasted (and texture wise) great, and we had fun things to do if we didn’t get a warning/referral. I had made such great friends (or meat people that I know of), heck even my old friends when I was a young lad. There were however, very bad and nasty students, tapping their desks, being rude against the teachers (Did they ever learn about to never talk back to an adult???), saying stupid vines (I can’t stand 21 or DEEZ NUTZ anymore) and acting all gangster like. But, they were taken care of. Things were going so great, but many of you may be asking “Why is this kid giving this school a rating of 1 star?”. Well… I would have given this school a rating of 3 or 4, but that was when all those great times faded away, when our new principal Ms. Mayor showed up (Ugh, can’t stand that name… -_-).

2016, I was in 8th grade, and I was “sorta” ready to learn… All because of my darn depression… But I’m over it now, and that is irrelevant to the topic. Anyhow, Ms. Mayor enabled A.R. back into this school (and I thought that was for little kids), because many students (like me somehow?) had a poor reading level, oh, and she added in a new class “Reading” and “L.A.” (No more both of the same classes anymore, not like they were so different -_-). With the reading, she also added in iReady, which was probably the dumbest program I have ever seen. Like seriously, stereotypical people, poor animations, a ton of bugs, and lame games. Oh and even worst… if you didn’t do great on those monthly tests, you’ll be doing slow, child like, objectives… like come on, this isn’t ABC Mouse (Although that is better compared to iReady). One final program she added, and this was for us math lovers or haters, Aleks. Yeah, the program that made many high schoolers fail at math. This was the biggest problem ever in the school “so” far. Your supposed to do 20 objectives every week, by yourself, with poor and confusing and time consuming explanations. I wish this thing never existed, like ever. But no, she added that program just to give us a hard time and math teachers an easier and faster way of teaching… Oh wait, it didn’t! It gave math teachers a more harder and slower time of teaching us to be prepared for the FSA, high school, and life. I felt so bad for my math teacher Mr. Lennox. He’s an awesome guy that you can “really” relate too, almost like a friend. But god, I just feel guilty for raising my hand over an Aleks topic I don’t know how to do, even other students, but at least he can try his best to help, in the most efficient way on doing a math problem. He’s better than Alek’s explanations (See Ms. Mayor, math teachers are more helpful than a brainless program). The students behavior has gotten worst, some teachers and most professionals are so rude, the new rules were just awful like the new dismissal, and the phrase “Everyday, every student, gains knowledge”. Yeah right, more like “Everyday, every student, gets abused and brainwashed”. To any of you parents/guardians out there that wants their son/daughter to come here, just don’t. For more information, check out the other reviews like from my friend Omar, he too knows what’s up. Ms. Mayor, why did you screw this school up??? Ugh… -_-

Well my name is Devin Sylis Beauplan right now I’m in 7th grade. I have been in this school for 1 year and a half. I really liked the food at the school and the teachers. The staff is nice and helpful. I have a few problems about the school though. First, why do we have uniforn? I understand from the if you are poor or rich comparing thing but really. Have of the 8th graders are sagging and acting all cool when their not. Next, I think we need more time going to each class. When I come from lunch to go to Civics or Cooking class I get ran over by a bunch of little 6th graders. ( No offense because I look like one anyway. ) Kids or young adults are tripping or other people and binders falling too. I mean you jog or run with kids run over you and pushing other people out the way. Then, you want us at class ready to learn about things we don’t really care about in only 4 minutes. Well…that’s not going to happen. Last, is the kids. Some of the kids are just rude. Some teachers don’t pay attention. Kids in the hall fighting and flicking the middle finger and etc. WoW the teachers are really paying attention there. After all that the school is good. Teachers teach the students well and lunch is better than Harns Marsh Elementary School. Well…that’s it. Thanks for listening to my review on HMMS.
Eh. The school is ok. I just don’t like how we maintain a “C” grade for 3 years like, come on? How is that OK with you people? The teachers are rude (half the staff) and hardly teach. 300+ kids are going to Summer School. That is sad for those parents! Half the the kids in the entire school are going to summer school!? Also the dismissal process is horrible! First 3rd floor,2nd floor, and 1st floor with a total of 3 minutes to get to your bus. After that the buses just leave you. It has happened to many kids. Also I do not like Aleks. I need help, but my parents cannot help me. So when I go to my teacher cause that’s what your supposed to do,SHE CAN’T EVEN HELP! Like how do you people approve this? All the kids act like overaged gangsters. Talking how they’re gonna fight this kid, that kid. Or flick teachers off.People said that AR stops in middle school. Well nope. I have more to say,but I won’t say it. I hope that Ms.Majsbsjs whatever her name is fixes this.Or The county cause it’s utterly disgusting.
