To the principal of this school as well as to the whole EGUSD:
Don’t know what -your- students are learning neither what are they being taught, but it is not manners for sure.
When school is over, -your- students take the sidewalks as if they were ‘solely and exclusively’ of their own. They walk in groups of four or five wide and don’t even ‘try to’ allow pedestrians walking on the opposite direction to use the sidewalk forcing them to walk on the grassy section.
And or the ones on bycicles, skneak up behind pedestrians mostly of age, at 25 mph with no bells, whistles or not even slowing down for they are racing two, three or more at the time.
Yet, on -my- property taxes, it shows that there are two (?) entries a.k.a., taxes for the EGUSD and the EGUG for what, do I cannot use the sidewalks because neither the EGUSD nor the parents of those youngsters are teaching manners or civics and how to respect the elderly? Is that what a total of $166.87 on taxes paid to the EGUSD buys for the Elk Grove residents who live nearby a…’docent public institution of learning’? Think not.
Respectfully,
J. Rodriguez
This school was relatively good. Most of the teachers were very understanding and the honors classes offered lots of opportunities for the students. I, however, had interesting science and math teachers. (Watch out for Saechao!) There was a few strange practices, that were practical yet inconvenient, such as the fact that we’re not aloud to go near teachers classrooms in the morning, even if we’re going to ask a question or get late papers. I’m currently going into eighth grade, and my experience was quite interesting. I will post another review next year.
My daughter is doing well here. She’s felt welcome from day one, her group of friends being very diverse. She likes most of the teachers and admin staff. They’re offering the MYP and are coordinating with Laguna Creek for the IB program (only HS in Elk Grove offering it). I think the principal and the rest of the team are striving for excellence. Definitely on a good path.
