My daughter was detained for 45 minutes. Just for nothing! My child has been in this country for two years. And the teachers seem to be bullied on purpose. They don’t answer emails! Ignore! I will probably pick up my child from there
Our Daughter attended this school having ADHD and even though her psychiatrist requested an EHCP assessment be carried out on her, the then SENCO (Still in the school but removed from senco) repeatedly declined this request and continued to do so for 15-18 months. (For which I am seeking legal advice/action) When an assessment was applied for and carried out it highlighted that our daughter DID need help in learning so in this time our daughters anxiety level was highly increased especially as further behind in her education and having the extra pressure put on her to catch up. If you have a Child with mental health needs “I DO NOT” recommend sending them to this school. They are extremely strict and do not tolerate bullying of any kind, unless you are a teacher of course (that’s permitted)
School is so rubbish now and the head teacher doesnot know how to run the school. Last year had the fire alarm set off over 6 times over the course of the week and they didnot even try to attempt to find out who it was. They ended up threatening all the students with going to jail and that the school would force the authorities to go for the most servere punishment. They now don’t let kids do anything at break and lunch and they’ve banned phones for no reason s*it school and I would never send my next child there. They don’t let students speak and some teachers even insult the students then put them in seclusion for responding back you can’t even defend yourself in the school. Would put 0 stars but unfortunately not a option
I have lived in the area for almost 40 years and remember this school when it was called Battersea Park School which was renowned for trouble. Since It changed hands to Harris Academy and was put under the supervision of Dr Moody it moved leaps and bounds and achieved an outstanding rating by Ofsted. This was the main reason I decided to send my children here. Whilst my children are doing well, I have to say that since Dr Moodys departure it is not the same and there has been a decrease in the discipline and emphasis on behaviour – I think the teachers are still providing quality education and hope that they can keep the school in the Outstanding category.
If I could I wouldn’t of even give this school 1star!!! An absolute letdown from day one … teachers, staff haven’t got a clue what’s going on in that school, the poor children that need support do not get it whether they are SEN or not. The new ofsted report is a absolute lie and the old one is more like it!! Please don’t send your children here
