A small independent school educating pre-school through 12th grade, Harrisburg Academy maintains a strong and welcoming community of faculty, students, staff and parents. It is the only full spectrum International Baccalaureate school in central Pennsylvania, featuring the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and the internationally lauded Diploma Programme.
I was employed with the school for more than nine years and enjoyed a trusting and highly productive working relationship with students, parents, faculty and administrators.
A hard-working College Counseling office gets students into their desired and best fit higher education institution. Through scholarships and the earned International Baccalaureate credits, graduates frequently enjoy reduced college tuition and begin their higher education years with earned college credits.
Not very diverse despite what is advertised. Average education level, but for the tuition cost it is in no way worth the money spent, especially for high school . Some of the teachers are nice and care about all of their students futures, but others are more focused on giving kids detention for the dress code. Would not recommend it unless you have $100k+ and 4 years of time to waste to get an average high school level education.
My great grandson goes to school here and he loves it. This is his second year and now he’s in kindergarten
The staff are extremely good with the kids and the school itself has a lot to offer for the younger kids.
