My son went to this school for two years before transferring to a better school and I tell everyone how awful this school is. Some of the staff is great but the laziness of the principal and older teachers is frustrating. My son was constantly bullied both physically and emotionally. Did anyone do anything? No. I met with teachers, counselors, and the principal. Was promised things would be “looked into” but really nothing happened except Ms Freeman (the counselor) tried to help both my son and myself with resources and ideas. That was it. DO NOT GO HERE. Apply to Arthur Academy, where they actually care about your child and communicate with you! Trust me, its the best decision for schools around here, especially better than this school!
This was originally built as Mead middle school and switched names after becoming a K-8.
Nice school with great staff. The building is older so there are issues with it being too hot or too cold. They are updated a lot of the interior spaces over the next 3 years as it transition back to a middle school fall of 2023.
