My 4-year-old son was only there for one year and we loved it. It’s a shame they doesn’t have more years, otherwise I wouldn’t have changed him to another school. I liked it because there weren’t that many children and that way they could take better care of them. The caregivers are very kind. .
If I have another baby I will not hesitate her/ his to enroll in this Nursery.
The staff is very caring and loving. The days are full of exiting things for the little ones. Everyone is welcome.
We will miss our morning routing at the nursery and wishing all the best:)
Teachers will be missed dearly!
My little one has been here since October and has settled in so well, supported by the loving and diligent staff. It seems like such a tough job managing babies and toddlers all day, but the staff at Hatching Dragons Canada Water do it with ease and enthusiasm.
We visited for a mandarin music session and an open day before registering and it was the bilingual component of the nursery that convinced me. The cleanliness, conscientious approach to childcare and plethora of activities kept us here. The babies enjoy lots of cultural sessions centered around the beauty of a diverse world and are encouraged to develop language. They are also instilled with values (sharing was last week’s value).
My little one speech is coming along and I have been well supported in encouraging independent feeding. As I am highly anxious, which leads me to analyse every little thing for reassurance, the updates on the app are reassuring. We get photos and videos throughout the day, and it is heartwarming to see my little one being hugged or confidently lead in an activity by a member of staff. We also get their daily diary so that we know what they’ve eaten, how often they’ve been changed and so forth – my only criticism with this is that sometimes nappy changes and nap times are only updated during handover, but understandable given the time and effort it takes to care for children throughout the day.
Ling is a fantastic Deputy Head, she is so compassionate and supportive. Very understanding and obviously passionate about her work, she’s really good at her job. The staff in general are great here and make an effort to chat with us and offer lots of support. Staff seem to understand the huge responsibility they have of being entrusted with your child’s care and understand any apprehension or nerves you may have around this. I’ve found much understanding and championing as a parent with Hatching Dragons.
I hope the standard maintains at the nursery.
(Also, really like the fact staff are so strict about parents not being allowed to use their phone on site. Important in current climate, seen too many videos of unaware babies and parents being recorded by other parents and uploaded to social media. I have been told to put my phone away even when I offered/needed to show staff something on my calendar)
