Frustrated beyond belief. I went to District office to remedy address information. Couldn’t get in, because a zip tie moved off handle not allowing anyone getting in if you don’t have a badge. However, zip tie is suppose to allow public to gain access. So I call the district location number showing on Google & it gets answered by a loud beep sounding like a fax machine. Finally someone exits the building and figures out zip tie moved & public is allowed into the office. Then the receptionist (gatekeeper) at the front door explains that they don’t have the form I need. I was told this office would have the information or could help me correct address. NOT the case. I asked if she could give or print the form for me and she said no you have to get form from school & follow that process. I asked what’s the form name I need. She said I don’t know. I asked if we could ask someone in this district office that would possibly know (seems feasible that the Hays CISD District Office would know something about the forms they require their schools to have), but she refused to check with anyone in office for this information & refused to Google as a possible way to help. I guess customer service isn’t part of the job to help serve their students & family of things the District requires. Typically I don’t do complaint reviews, but when there’s this big of a lack in assisting and refusal to help another I don’t mind … I hope it helps put it to the public & District eye that compassion, customer service, & changes are needed (as it sure felt more like this isn’t my job requirement). For this single mom having to take off from work & not get to paid again, because of this form not being available online nor willingness to ask a big wig or anyone in the office a question is ridiculous. I believe the District & the employees their to help their students & student families for things they require could do better!!
Honestly enrolling my kids into the school system out here in San Marcos has been the worst. They are slow, each time I enrolled my kids into school it took them 3days to start???? my daughter has now been home for 4days. They are slow! You used to could go to the school with all paperwork and they started the same day. But soon as your child misses 3days unexcused they wanna talk about going to court and pressing charges. Do Better!!!
