I attended this school back when it was Berean Christian School. It was indoctrination at its finest, teaching backwards ideals such as the earth being 4,000 years old, that interracial marriage was a sin, and that women had to be submissive to men just to name a few. There were several accounts of horrific disciplinary actions they made students take, such as standing in front of the church to confess their “sin”.

As far as the education went, there wasn’t much of a science education and at the time, they didn’t even educate us on how babies were made. Evolution wasn’t a thing, the world was made in seven literal days, spoken by the word of god. Carbon dating was a false technology developed by Satan. They even told us that reading the “Origins of Species” was Satan taking us away from god. We were truly left in ignorance.

Hopefully they were able to turn around their practices since their name change, but damage had been done. Save your money, send your kids to one of the excellent public schools that are in your area and teach them your values at home.

I’d rate them a zero if I could. Bottom line I wouldn’t recommend them or any other religious school that teaches that the Bible is the literal word of god. They deliver a lifelong struggle of guilt and shame.

Wonderful, caring admin and faculty, rigorous curriculum and wonderful students who challenged and befriended our son, all within an atmosphere of Chridt- centered discipling.
