My child went here for a year and a half. The only thing good i liked about this school was my child’s two teachers that she had, ms janette and ms jennifer they were excellent they get 5 stars, but the two stars is for the owner and her front staff who are rude and choose to have favorites with the parents. I decided to leave the school for three reasons the favouritism, the owner, and her rude front staff who do not have their accounts properly organized. The only front staff who was professional and seemed genuinely nice was the new girl tyesha, she always greeted us when we came i and she was always nice.
The rest of the front people are rude, especially the new one named allison who came to the school with an attitude at least with me, no reason why i was never rude to any of them but for some reason i guess whenever i bring up things which i have the right to and which were very rational they seemed as if I should not say anything. I’m a paying customer, my own money not government assistance, I would always say good morning or thank you and they would say nothing back, i just stopped saying anything, and when they decided that they wanted to say good morning i would not answer because they never answered me when i use to say good morning. I guess they thought i was the rude one then, how ironic.
Anyway the real big issues were them not moving my daughter to the 3 year old class when she turned 3 but other kids who turned 3 after her were moved to the 3 year old class. Before the Fall. The owner would say she has to wait til the school year started, really so why are other kids being moved and not her, this is not real school she or any other 1,2,3 year old should not have to wait for a new school year, that’s for vpk and up, pissed me off with that excuse, i let it go, but Favoritism I’m surely guessing.
Secondly the owner gave me a past due bill which i thought was highly outrageous because i paid a week in advance but the unorganized staff allison and the assistant director and the owner has no proper balance sequence with their accounts, i had to go back and forth with receipts and bank account statements to prove i paid, with a conclusion where they actually owed me money because two payments were not credited to my account and had to credit my account that money back and they tried to blame it on a previous worker’s mistake.. after they found this mistake the assistant director who was sitting there the whole time quiet had the nerve to say, she knew it was a mistake because she know i always pay, well why didn’t you investigate the issue before handing me a past due bill, then the allison girl had the nerve to say in a condescending tone that, she was trying to help me, you would not have to help me if this mistake was not done in the first place. on a morning where i had just gotten off work from an overnight shift, i was so exausted which angered me even more, they gave me a pounding headache, which eventually made me make the decision to be done with this school for such a embarrasing mistake, done more than once. . Mind you i never had a problem with my account until this allison girl came and then all of a sudden I have late fees and owing balances which were non existent. Till today they have never apologized, and they still owe me $20 which i have not gotten yet, they only made it seem like it was my fault. Even after i left the school i still had to contact them to get my child’s holiday pictures, and whenever i would call and check to see if they were there, whenever i was done i would say thank you, they would not say anything just hang up, they really treated me as if i did something wrong, when they were the ones who actually made the mistake. It’s just so shocking and ridiculous. Overall I would only recommend this school for the teachers, ms janette, ms jennifer, ms rosie, they are genuinely nice with the kids and teach them alot. So ultimately the school teachers are good just that front staff I would just advise you keep every receipt and a Statement each time you pay.
I cannot stress enough about how life changing this school and the entire staff has been for not only my sons life as well as our family. I can only pray other parents can have their kids experience this amount of care, love and grace. MRS RANUKA is just about the most amazing teacher ever encountered, she’s the reason my son kept on going, pushed through and believed in himself, despite all his challenges. Shes the teacher you grow up thinking about how she’s made a difference in your foundation as a child, specially in the younger years. He was diagnosed with adhd and his journey wasn’t always easy, some days harder than others. Mrs Irma and Mrs Ty had been such a support, from paperwork’s to pep talks (not only to my son but myself as a mom on his hardest days), these people have been a huge support system for my son and I am forever grateful to this entire staff. Mrs Brenda is as cool as it gets, with all the entertaining convos my son would come home telling us about, she’s a hidden gem and so amazingly patient. I am a parent who questions EVERYTHING and is super specific (that latina picky mom). Never ceased to amaze me their grace with every conversation. They root for you, fight for you, care for your children and their well being and their family. As a child of an educator myself, I know school staff and teachers don’t always get the appreciation they deserve at times, credit is due when it’s more than deserving! Truly a dream team, wish we weren’t moving out of the state. My son went to school here from pre-k to 2nd grade (Summer camp and spring break), he would of stayed here all the way to 5th grade. Mrs Lisa is beyond lucky for such a beautiful hearted team, they have created some core memories in my little boys life. Love this team so much!
