I attended this hellhole of a middle school way back in 1997 and the memories of this place STILL HAUNT ME TO THIS DAY!! This school is the main reason why I am extremely paranoid with MY children! I have no idea why these people think school informs will change anything because IT DOESN’T! You can put a thug and a ghetto tramp in a white shirt and blue pants, it’s not going to change their disgusting attitude! I saw one of my good friends get the snot beaten out of her by some ghetto tramp JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS IN THE WAY! The school is filthy, the teachers don’t give a crap about stopping or punishing bullies, and everything needs to be updated out of the 1970’s. In short, this school is AWFUL! I have visited it once a couple years back and it hadn’t changed a bit. Students still trying to be “gangsta” and the faculty continues to disregard everyone’s safety because it’s just easier to ignore the problem than to fix it. Oh, and for their tolerance of students defending themselves against a bully? ZERO TOLERANCE!! They’ll suspend or expel the student who stood up to the bully and knocked him on his a–! I know this because my friend was expelled for punching a bully in the nose after being kicked in the face for no good reason! SO BEWARE!! This is a school in the ghetto. Ghetto children with ties to gangs are sent here and are allowed to rule the school because the faculty is scared to death of them. If you can, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! This school needs a new faculty of ex-Marine who aren’t afraid of 13 year old thugs!
I just finished 8th grade at hilltop middle school and honestly its not the best school . The school is an outside campus so really the only place you can go to get out of the heat is the bathrooms. classrooms dont have ac and the ones that do dont use them . Lunch is separated from 7th -8th grade lunch. You can only wear solid color jackets w no logo which makes it hard on the students because no one really has an all black or blue or grey jacket. They say you can wear shorts but 10/10 % of the time you will get dresscoded (mostly girls ) . The lockerooms are disgusting . many girls in my pe found roaches in the lockers , the showers or just chillen on the ground . the only reason I stayed at hilltop is because I met some amazing people here. But there were many fights at this school that got unnoticed .
This school is horrible. The teachers have inappropriate conversations with the students (such as political things). there are very few bathrooms, and 99.9% of the time are closed. the teachers don’t care if they see a kid getting harassed, (sexual)….(most of the time the girls are the victims at that school, I should know it happens to me). the uniforms are horrible, we are only able to plan but, black, or grey hoodies/jackets. This school sucks, and I hope it’ll change for me last year there. – – Evelyn 7th grader 2017-2018
