Wasn’t going to write this review given it’s been more than 10 years now. But the truth needs to be heard.
The first 3 years (R-1) was great for our daughter (2013-2015). Had the same great, supportive and friendly teacher but then left shortly after end of 2014. This is the same period that things started to show up where lots and lots of parents were pulling their kids out. The bullies, the inaction from the teacher and the leadership team (and the assistant principal) despite numerous complaints our daughter was punched in the face/stomach almost on a weekly basis (if not daily).
What frustrating is that it is a Christian values- based school, “Holy Family Catholic School”!!! This definitely contradicts the Christian values/teachings. It’s so sad and certainly damaging to the Christian faith foundation.
The daughter is still traumatic with these experiences. This same period that lots and lots of parents pulling their kids out of this school due to the same problems.
Hopefully they’ve changed/evolved since then.
Please whatever you do, do your own credible research from trustworthy sources.
DO NOT trust that just because of the name, the assumption is that the quality of teaching and school environment is automatically great because it’s based in the Christian faith.
The school is better than you life and they have Spring Fair and Disco Party, for real you have book week EARLY!!!!!!!!! and shut up atleast the principal has a better life and hairline than you- Unknown and Unknown and Unknown slay~
This school is horrible! don’t send your child here or if you’re planning to because some of the students here are not very nice and I got gaslighted by my teacher almost everyday for absolutely no reason and pretend to my parents like nothing happened and the canteen ladies are very rude to younger kids just because they’re not listening and one of the teachers here not to mention names for safety reasons they sometime want to swear at students and especially with the people with disorders it’s a joke and the toilets here are been left actually disgusting it smells like a homeless person vomited people don’t even flush the toilet and throw the tissue to the wall and the roof and not to say this look at the school it looks disgusting people litter everywhere they don’t know what a bin is or where to put your rubbish do you even call this a “Catholic school” and the P.E teachers are not very nice to students they like to yell at you if you don’t play the game properly and they don’t even care about your wellbeing the school needs to think about the staff that they’re hiring and to be very careful.
If I could rate any lower I would, if you care about your child’s well-being and happiness please look elsewhere. My child received vicious physical attacks from children and a simple phone call from leadership does not happen, my child was hit atleast every week and it was just a normal thing. The school in my child’s 4 terms were completely chaotic and zoo like. Staff seemed to be leaving and unhappy, children not settling well on drop off. Teachers are clearly overwhelmed with the combination classrooms too loud and too many kids in a small space. Not enough SSO workers in classrooms for the amount of kids with additional needs. Not to even mention the literacy and numeracy programs are not established. Our child has moved to a new school and it’s much happier and learning so much more in one term compared to her 4 terms at HF.. My other child was in the preschool and even though the staff are amazing it completely turned upside when HF took over in 2023, the environment was not what we were after for our child.
We moved schools mid year with the whole year school fees paid, not one question or exit interview was requested, clearly the school has no care or intent as to why we left even tho fees were paid up. Myself or husband had never once met the principal in our time there and I truely believe leadership is so out of touch with the school community.
DO YOUR RESEARCH, it doesn’t take long before you find the massive amount of bad reviews for this school.
This school doesnt provide the best education for kids, and especially the environment the kids are in, mostly everyone is so toxic. They should really work on the environment the children are in, and if their going to make this school expansive, then atleast make the school better. People are wasting their money on this school when you can go to a public school or another private school thats way more better than this.
