This school is “alright”. Yes, the academic part of the school is good, teachers are nice and respectful but a real issue at Idea San Benito is the entrance/exits, if you are ever running late to go to school forget being on time you will never make it. The office staff sucks, the attendant never answers the gate and when she does she is rude once you get inside, they never know which classroom my child is in, and call about 4 teachers before finally finding him. Another issue I have with this school is, the strict uniform policy. If there is going to be a strict policy for the children it needs to go for the teachers too, Everytime I pick up my child there is a teacher walking around in skin tight leggings. There should be a dress code enforced on the teachers as well. Other than these things, the school is alright. Not returning
The school lives to the promise of College for all who attend. The work is almost never easy, but that is part of learning how to manage time. It has also helped me learn how much work I’m going to have in college. I would highly suggest this school to any parent who is willing to give their kids more opportunities. If you’re going to ask: yes, I am a student of the school.
I cannot stand this charter schools, this schools eventually hurt the local economy. Publuc schools are getting hurt with budget cuts because of this idiotic charter schools. I know of some graduates from idea that enrolled in STC or UTPA and dropped in less than 2 months. I know this through professors that I know from both colleges. idea is no good, I say again no good!!!
