My children attended INIC Preschool in Round Rock for several weeks in August and September 2023. We withdrew for family reasons. I have been a parent for 14 years, so not my first experience with daycares. These are my thoughts.

Pros:
– very well organized daycare. They use one App for communication and another for classroom cameras. Both functioned well.
– the staff is friendly
– Spanish environment. Although this comes with limitations, see cons
– uniforms were great. It saves a lot of time and thought daily

Cons:
– this is a daycare. Do not let the uniforms and price point fool you. They suffer from the same issues as less expensive places, which include frequent staff turnover and a new sickness literally every week
– I really didn’t appreciate that they do not provide any food at all. You provide every meal, even the small snacks. Very unfortunate for the tuition
– we caught the staff multiple times speaking English to the children, especially in the one classroom. My 3 year came home with multiple new ENGLISH words in her first week. I believe children will pick up Spanish comprehension here (which is better than nothing), but they will be far from bilingual
– beware the contract and focus on fees. They charged us a full 30 day termination (literally to the day), despite us telling them it would place an undue financial burden on our family and our children not attending at all. Their payment App ONLY accepts direct debit. I have never seen that in a daycare before.

My son attends INIC. His teacher Gina is the most compassionate teacher.

Multiple playgrounds with various levels of difficulty ensure that my child is on the proper playscape for his age level and that younger and older kids aren’t competing for the same space. The giant indoor play area guarantees my child will have physical activity even if it’s a rainy day or the sun is just too hot. I am sent pictures throughout the day showing me the neuromotor, gymnastics, reading, math and education that he is receiving. A monthly newsletter keeps me informed and parent teacher conferences have been clear on what skills he is developing and where he needs any assistance. He colors and paints and does crafts that I would never think of at home! I can log in on my phone and see my son in his classroom through an app to check that he really is sleeping during naptime and/or after I leave to make sure he is acclimated and having a good time.

The staff do not speak any English to my child and I love that he is encouraged to speak his Spanish. He is fully bilingual! I am most pleased because even when he goes off to Kindergarten, we can come back in the summertime and reunite with the friends he has at INIC.
