I’ve been training with this school since 2013. After searching for a an authentic Indonesian pencak silat school since 2003, I can say that this is the real deal. Guru Daniel Prasetya is world class in his knowledge of martial arts in terms of combat, self defense, internal energy, and healing.

As a school, IWMAA is top notch in having a great curriculum, energetic and innovative instruction, and still manages to pay attention to each student. Importantly, the curriculum grows with the student. As I’ve moved up in rank there is always much more to learn than I have already learned, which is humbling and invigorating.

I recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn traditional martial arts, develop self confidence, and practical self defense.

Inner Wave Martial Arts Academy is the best place to train martial arts! The atmosphere is friendly and the staff are caring, patient, and perceptive. This school will not only teach you how to defend yourself in various situations, but also teach important life skills along the way. With inner wave, you can also learn about other cultures as well, and pick up a few words and phrases in other languages. I love going to this school and would highly recommend them for any age group. I feel like I have a greater sense of respect and discipline, and leave my class feeling refreshed, confident, and empowered to take on any situation in stride.
I’ve been attending classes for several months now and I can say it has been worth it, Not only a classes fun, they also help develop important life skills. I have become more confident in myself and have become a more patient person. I’m also learning how to defend myself, which is pretty cool.
