The school itself is not that bad, but where one of the biggest errors are made is staff. At this school they have changed Principals like five times, and each year I go there seems to be three handfuls of new teachers and staff. This can actually cause lots of anxiety on the teachers becuse they never really know isf they will be able to even have a job when the next school year rolls around. They also have quite disrespectful staff, especially at the front desk. Most of the “receptionists” are not that foucused and thats why lines are quite long at the front desk. One time I waited 10 minutes in line just to hand in an attendance form. Another bad experience I had was when my mom had dropped of my lunch at the front desk and the receptinist never cared to locate me and give me my food. As i stated earlier th school is not all that bad because at iltexas they like to challenge the students every single day. They also let their students leap towards lots of different opportunities like road scholars. In, conclusion the school itself is not terrible but if you would like to enroll you student here you might wnt to think a little carefully.
I had my daughter here and was highly disappointed. I came back online to read the reviews and can’t believe some of the stars yet the comments do not match the star level given. I don’t trust the star level given. I trust the reviews. Kids stay off of the reviews. The school was not conducive to a learning environment as I was excited about. Highly unorganized. The teachers are not organized and some have never taught a class yet they picked the most active class (in their old age) and complain to the parents about the student. I’m sorry. I just wasn’t happy. Couldn’t get an appointment with administration until I went to the school and demanded a meeting. I’m sorry. I believe in what the developer of ILT dreamed of delivering but the deliverables came in millions of pieces without instructions on how to put the puzzle together. Until they correct some of the issues expressed by myself and others my child won’t be returning. Unfortunate.
My daughter have been attending ILT Katy since Kinder and now in 1st grade Mrs Legra and Mr. Lago. It was rough at the beginning in Kinder but i must commend their teachers and new principal for their dedication and effort. Any child will succeed as long as we are putting the work and effort as parents which can be challenging sometimes. This period of virtual learning, they have surpassed my expectation and my younger daughter also just accepted to ILT Katy. Thank you everyone.
