Being here for some time, i’ve come to know that this school is absolutely greedy. Do you really think it’s necessary to make us, children, pay one dollar to wear flip flops? I shouldn’t have to pay the school in order to wear a certain style of foot-wear. To make children pay $1.25 for one bottle of water? Once again, I shouldn’t have to pay the school $1.25 for one bottle of water when I return from gym, unadulterated dehydration flowing through my veins. To make children pay $1.00 for a bag of chips with about five being shoved in the bag the size of my pouch? I know what you’re doing, you guys aren’t slick. You are simply using vending machines, making young children pay $1.00 for your over-rated school, only to receive less than what they’re paying for.
I’ve also come to realize how much this school doesn’t even care about our body temperatures. I have never been more outraged in my life, seeing MacBooks, flat-screen televisions, and basically renovations done to your little chatting area – WHILST WE DON’T EVEN HAVE AN – AN – AIR-CONDITIONING IN THE AREA WHERE WE PERFORM PHYSICAL EDUCATION. I was hoping this was bogus – that it wasn’t reality. But unfortunately, it wasn’t. Simple solutions, stop paying for things that aren’t necessary and provide for your students.
I’ve also come to realize how the 6th grade gets picked on excessively. IT’S NOT NECESSARY, STOP DOING IT. They are children that just entered sixth-grade, leave them alone. It may be nice to clean up our own messes, but nobody wants to pick up food that isn’t theirs, stop forcing them into these unsanitary things.
Panther Pride Day can be fun, oh wait- hold on. I’ve just reminded myself that the same students get to experience the fun in participating in games. I often wonder what it feels like to be competing with other students for my grade, hm, I wouldn’t know. I feel like it’s not even fun anymore, it’s just a popularity competition. All you do, every.. single.. year.. is pick the same people to compete in these activities. I can be shy most times, I don’t enjoy having conversations with my principles – but that shouldn’t impact my chances of being involved in the school’s pep rally. Just use a spin wheel seriously, this is getting quite annoying. I’d like to spend my day of fun and no academics actually doing fun activities, not watching a bunch of popular kids get cheered for.
Stop giving us assemblies for the same things every year. I understand what cyberbullying is. I mean, yeah, it’s quite interesting to listen to, but can we cover other topics? There is so much we need to be aware of with what’s going on within our society, and cyberbullying/bullying has been taught excessively. We are told the exact same thing every year, which the principle usually ends up yelling at us for something completely unnecessary. Then proceeds to act as if this is a privilege. No, we didn’t ask for it, so we don’t view it as one.
I could go over so many more issues with Iselin Middle School, but these are only a few. Fix it, please.
