I can’t even begin on how terrible this school is. The amount of rules and regulations don’t push students to do the right thing, in fact it pushes students to cross every boundary possible. When it comes to consequence, they would assign it over the stupidest things, but things that actually hurt people’s feelings and physically and emotionally affect them, they have no solution. They tried to open the “HUB” and say they have a staff full of guidance counselors that are caring and consoling, they offer no better advice than to suck it up, or say “go to class”, this is normal, but yet they would pull you in while tears are running down your face, and call your parents. When you see someone get bullied, the right thing to do is report it with a DASA report. I’ve filled one out many times, and there was no consequence assigned, and no one got back to me. The main student body here, has no morals or particular priority, and everyone just lets it slide. I didn’t go to school several days of my freshman year because I was too depressed to go because of the excessive ridicule, hate and rumors I heard about me each day. Several days, I’d get threatened for no reason, and when I tried to complain, they used the mediation method of “There’s two sides to each story.” And even if I was in tears and obviously scared, the other person AKA the “bully” was able to lie their way through it and get out with no lesson, or consequence. IHS, you stripped me of the innocence I was once bubbling with, and gave me no fair opportunity to try and academically succeed. I underperformed throughout my entire freshman year, and I had to leave town to find myself again. You must have impossible mental strength to endure this school, I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone who wants to be in a challenging, academically competitive, positive encouraging environment like the school I am in now.
This School Teaches Everything That A student Could Need. It Has Lots Of Academic programs And After School Related Programs. People Who Get Bullied Get The treatment you need. Most importantly the teachers are the best. It Has Been Ranked Best High School In Michigan. Parents If You Need A Place To Send You Kids To. I Recommend Ithaca Public Schools.
