Currently attending Macy and soon leaving for Schurr, I just wanted to say that this is an amazing school and 6th grade out of all the past grades, is currently the highlight of ALL my school years maybe until there’s a better year but I highly doubt that. I made friends, met old friends, got a bit known around. I wish I could say this is a flawless school but it isn’t. The reason is the racism, discrimination and the stereotypes. The school is 90% Mexican and 10% other races. I’m in that 10%. I’m Chinese and get made fun of a lot for being myself. I get discriminated a lot and I hate it. Keep getting called small eyes, ching chong, bad at sports, etc. It’s all around school and wherever I go I always here those stereotypes. I hope you change that because it isn’t funny. Only morons allow that to happen. No one deserves discrimination. I didn’t choose what race I am, I only follow the race I was born to be. I am called different and then they make fun of me. But I have a question. What’s wrong with being different anyways? Yes, I admit I’m different from everyone else but what’s so wrong about it? Nothing! Because you are you and I am me. Not a lot of people realize that. I used to become sad and angry because of discrimination but not until I met some people that made me feel like I belong. Please help others that don’t feel like that they belong and give them a helping hand because I can’t be there for all of them. They will soar like rockets like the sky if you do. We may look different, have different customs, come from different backgrounds, but we are actually the same on the inside because we are Macy Knights and I hope people will understand and actually accept us for us and not someone else and treat us as 1 of them and not treat us like outsiders/terrorists because that is not what we are. I hope we get treated as Knights someday. And not just knights, Macy Knights. We are one, we are united, we are whole, we are the same, we are Knights! Not just knights Macy Knights! Thanks for reading and I hope you do something about this
Sincerely your fellow knight,
~Vanessa Zheng~
P.S. remember one thing and that is:
*We are Macy Knights and we are united as one!*
