I think Bowie is a decent school; the students not so much depending on who you hang around. If you are in advanced classes and involved in a lot of club, you should have no problem, but the students in regular classes aren’t the best. If half the students weren’t so loud, it would a great school. Don’t listen to the reviews about gangs. I’m sure there are students in them, but no matter what school you go to, there always will be gangs unless it’s private or home.
Bowie is a wonderful school with awesome clubs and organizations for the students! The faculty and staff are very attentive and are proffessional. I highly reccomend Bowie High School as school of choice to attend. To those who give this school poor ratings, where are you when your kids need you? Education and moral start AT HOME, not at school. School is not a babysitting agency. It starts with FAMILY!
One of the oldest schools in Arlington, James Bowie High School is a decent option in the growing suburb. Be careful though, as I have heard some iffy things about Bowie, and Martin High School is safer and right around the corner. The school is either loved or hated by most, so it might depend on the student and family when it comes to choosing this school.
