Well where can I start… This school has shown me how unprofessional they really are. My daughter has been needing help with her behavior and speech and I was taking her to the children’s center for it and have been working with the psychologist to help. I told her kindergarten teacher everything and I even told her on class dojo. Since the beginning of the second quarter I’ve only got two messages from the kindergarten teacher that she was acting up. It wasn’t until around mid-January that they decide to call me and complain about how my child is the worst kindergartener out of all of them, said that the teacher tries to tolerate her, and then said the teacher is getting tired. I was trying to tell her that Aurora was going to the children’s center and that I’ve told the teacher that but obviously but the principal didn’t know that -.- so the next day I went through my messages from class dojo and I’ve been contacting the teacher a lot to see how my kid was doing and did they say anything? No! I never received calls or anything about my daughter! Only those two times she acted up which was on Dec/17 and Oct/5. Do, how the hell am I going to know or do anything if they don’t say anything? And then to call me saying that about my kid -.- then to see she did worse on her second quarter on her progress report. I blame them! If they would speak up and say something instead of waiting for the last minute to call me, this would’ve been solved a long time ago and I would’ve shared this with her psychologist so we could’ve worked with this! UNPROFESSIONAL! I understand my daughter was misbehaving…but if you don’t keep me informed then how the hell can I do anything! Then to hear that the principal told her not to message me back on class dojo????? What the hell is the app for then! You just basically allowed this to happen! Pay close attention to this school… Because this was just petty -.-
Okay look… 2 years at this school, my son has had very few problems. I’ve had ZERO confrontations with the staff, so I’m not sure if these reviews come from disgruntled students or what… The one thing I WILL agree with is that the Traffic is a nightmare over there, but let’s be real, this is Salt Lake… Traffic is a way of life people better get used to. The school is in a slightly more awkward spot sure, but I’ve not heard of anyone being injured at any time, and I live just up the street from it. My son walks to and fronm school every day, without issue.

Public school is public school these day’s, the Teachers, like the kids can be bad apples. I had teachers I thought were terrible when I was a kid, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t teach me things and do their jobs.

Now let’s talk Principle for a minute;

Look, she came off abrasive to me when I first saw her. But you know what? She cares about these kids. I’d go so far as to say she cares about those kids a lot more than she does the parents keeping the kids there. She’s not interested in your money people, she’s interested in the future going into the kids. Trust me if Kissell and I were going to have an issue, we would have had an issue by now.

But you know, it’s like just about anywhere else. If you go in there hot under the collar and put the staff on the defensive right away, yeah no kidding their going to be uncooperative. I would be. Be a human being an talk like you belong in society and things probably go over a lot smoother.

I highly suggest before you read into the reviews, good or bad, go sit down and talk with these guys, then make a judgment call.
