Very bad school, a boy in my class last year stabbed a girl. He only got suspended for 3 days and came back. Also they teach us like nothing. Most kids don’t know most basic grammar and simple times tables. Most people are vaping or doing drugs, a person I know has often bought drugs from his classmates, i don’t know if the teachers know but don’t care and doesn’t even pay attention to these things at school.

the fact that the principal put hands on a minor, strangled her held her on the ground by his knee and told her “it’s alright” is disgusting! sort this out as a social worker i am appalled by this, this poor girl has to deal with this trauma now!!! not okay
James Hargest College is a great place to be (as a student of the school, I know what it’s like). There are plenty of options to do around the school. We have a fully fledged canteen, three gyms, a variety of subjects on offer, a massive library, guidance and counselling, a careers department, and a good WiFi network. There are restrictions on the WiFi, but they’re there for the student’s safety. Combine that with the fact we have ~1850 students, it makes James Hargest College on of the best high schools in Invercargill, if not Southland.
Excellent facilities and staff who are willing to go the extra mile. Language department particularly good for those wanting to learn another language.
