I just graduated from Jefferson Academy last year and as a student I hated the school. Most of the kids were all horribly behaved and there are huge bulling problems. A few of the kids threw my sandwich away at lunch, bullied me into wearing all black, and spread rumors that I was dating someone who I was only friends with. In each of these situations I went to a teacher and they did nothing. The lessons are extremely confusing and a majority of my teachers did little to help the kids understand the lesson. They gave us the material and expected us to understand it. And not only that but the work load is unbearable. They say we only have an hour of homework a night but no. That is a lie. Every night I spent at least 2 hours on my homework not including projects. Speaking of which many times I would have many school projects assigned on Monday and due Friday. Sometimes I would have three of these projects other times 4 or 2 along with the regular workload. some nights I was up till 12am working on school work. I hated this school.
The school was terrible. I was bullied unrelentingly and when i tried to tell the teacher she walked away. She was siting down on the play ground and she stood up walked to the other side and sat back down. Another incident was when my bullies pressured another kid in to kicking my heels all the way from the gym to the classroom. The teacher only made them give a very fake apology. Another example is when the teacher screamed at me “learn to read” because i was asking for a dictionary. we were writing stories and i did not know how to write a word. On my last day in the hell hole one of my teachers could not be bothered enough to say good bye. i left mid year because the work load was unbearable. I have many more stories.
hello !! i am a past student at this school , 4th – 8th . anyways , this school , while i do agree that this place has amazing educaters and amazing student s, i do have to point out the bas stuff . the school has a low minority rate , i was one of the very few mixed kids ( asian ) . i was bullied as well , especially during the pandemic . people were mean and stuck up , there is an air of the ” i’m better then you energy” , i also felt very excluded . this school is great academic wise , but if you want your kids top be sane in their years to come . don’t go here , seriously .
