I am an assistant varsity coach for the men’s basketball team. More important than finishing the season as regular season and conference tournament champions (MaxPreps #11 in NC 4A) was the fact that our varsity team had an unweighted 3.3 GPA. Even more impressive was 25 of the 32 student athletes (JV & varsity) had a 3.5 GPA or higher, including 15 with a 4.0 or higher.
Hoggard can only be described as a mixed bag of basically everything. They have students of all types and backgrounds, teachers ranging from some of the best in the nation to some that I would never recommend to anyone. The building itself isn’t new but it’s fairly well kept and there are plans to renovate some of the older areas within the next year.
