this school is pretty good its diverse and most of the teachers are very nice the students on the other hand especially the 8th graders are extremely disrespectful towards teachers (and i’m saying this as a student) the students make homophobic and racist comments constantly and put down the students who excel at school, the only other thing is that 8th grade currently does not have a math teacher or a home room teacher and they take away the other teachers free periods to make them teach our classes, the janitor does not do their job so their are literal piles of dirt on the floor which i find disgusting, other than that the school is very good, nice education, the teachers are amazing, i love all of them, math is just very difficult and stressful because we don’t have a steady teacher, i recommend
Bullying isnt addressed by administrators at all. Bullies dont get punished for putting their hands on other children. When parents reach out, they are ignored by administrators. I dont feel safe for my child to be at this school because of the bullying and we arent here anymore thankfully. Dont let the ads around the city and the lottery fool you, this isnt a good school in the least. They dont want videos of fights being shown on social media because they say it makes the school look bad, instead of them making the school a safer place themselves. For the safety of your kids, find a school with an administration team that takes bullying seriously and ends it as soon as it is reported to them.
I am really upset. How could my son be 14th on the waiting list last year and now be 119 on the waiting list this year!!!! Unbelievable!!! There has got to be another way!!! This school year was difficult to say the least but now another setback?
We were looking forward to having a great new experience at KDHS but at this time it looks like another year for children to be discouraged and set aside until their number comes up.
What a disappointment for my son and other families as well. Lottery is a no win situation.
