When my child started this school three years ago, I was thrilled! Sadly, now in the eighth grade, I can hardly wait for the last day of school. The old principal has left and The new one may as well be absentee. She gets very little respect from the teachers that have tenure at the school. If your child is not in a “click “do not expect them to be get on any sports teams. It’s all about who the teacher knows . Charles Thornton is a dying breed of teacher at KMS. I am surprised they have not gotten rid of him yet since he is unconventionally against their click of self righteous women teAching groups. It’s really sad what has happened to the school the last couple years. I am so thankful that I don’t have anymore children going through this middle school. I hope that the school board does something quickly, since there are not a lot of middle schools in this area to choose from.
My son is in the 8th grade and has loved it until he got Ms. Guy as a math teacher. She is rude to the kids, and very unprofessional as a teacher. I always believe their is a time and place for everything and she does what she wants. She threatens the kids and just overall not a caring teacher. So my child 8th grade year has been a nightmare. Overall the rest of the teachers seem ok. I am glad it is my child last year.
