I would like to express my disappointment with Key Point Academy Team.
I’m a mother of a 4 years old, a very smart, playful, kind and independent boy, he loves being around other kids and learn.
At age of 2, he has been diagnosed with very low mild autism, but besides of that he’s very funcional and extremely normal compared with any other other kid of his age.

After a year trying, We finally got approved for the Step Up scholarship for special need child.
On the past 2 weeks I’ve been desperately trying to find a school for my son under the Scholarship and it has been very challenging , most of the schools I’ve applied do not accept RBT therapists or does not have the availability anymore.

I finally founded Key Point Christian Academy school, I contacted them and at the first’s calls, they said they had availability for new students and also they do accept Therapists. After I submitting all the papers they requested, they DENIED my son because of his “condition”.
So, “A school” , under of a scholarship program for special needs is rejecting a child for his condition. WOW!
I cannot express how SAD, disappointed and helpless I feel right now, there’s no bigger pain for a mother than having our child being rejected (DISCRIMINATED) , . Specially because they haven’t even give the opportunity to meet my son in person ‘for a better judgment’ , they just Denied based on what they saw on the papers.

What a SHAME, specially coming from a Christian School.

I cannot say enough good about this school. They have been a Godsend to our family. We moved to Brickell at the beginning of the Pandemic from Key Biscayne. Our son was in PK3 at a private school in Key Biscayne. During that time, he was considered considerably behind the other students and we felt like he was playing catch-up in different subjects. At Key Point, he flourished. He went from behind to testing in the top 4% in the country. His Star Testing growth rate was in the top1%. Our daughter had a similar experience.

The teachers are so good here and are so loving. Our children cry if they are sick and can’t go to school. They have absolutely loved it.

We are moving to Broward County, and our kids will be going to American Heritage. Key Point provided for our children to test in the top 5% in the new school which is rated #1 in Florida and #2 in the U.S. Having said that, we are absolutely heartbroken to have to leave this school.

This school absolutely stands behind its sterling reputation. Our family is proud and grateful to be involved with such an amazing and dedicated group of passionate individuals. The level of education and care the staff bring to each day with the children is extraordinary. The students are provided with a loving and encouraging environment where they’re challenged and pushed to thrive. Key Point is also multicultural and multilingual and on of the few that offers PE on a daily basis. Thank you so much for your commitment to what you do-we’ll continue to promote and support you!
