My granddaughter attended for four years. The last two years her math scores declined, yet she made A’s & B’s in the class. However she was not understanding and as my daughter continuously reached out to her math teacher she was redirected to IReady or told “She’s not the only one it’s all of them”.

She had nightly homework that took hours, she didn’t understand it and the teacher never reviewed HW. On one occasion she asked for help with a problem on her study guide. Instead of an explanation she was given the answer to the question.

End result reaffirming our belief, she is struggling in her 9th grade Algebra due to lack of preparation from someone that didn’t know how to teach or didn’t care enough to teach the math.

As a retired teacher I find it appalling that in 2022 as important as education is to a child that anyone would teach a subject in which they don’t have the means to deliver.
If a student made A’s & B’s from any class I taught I could guarantee anyone they were more than ready for the next level.
Parents be AWARE.

I have worked at KCC, for over 15 years and love it dearly! I was a 1st grade teacher for 13 years and became ill and had to go on disability, 10 months later I was able to return to work and now I am one of the 2nd grade teachers. Before I became a teacher my son who is now 22 went to KCC. I noted how they learned how my son learns and worked with him to obtain the knowledge he needed to be successful. My son was at KCC from 1st grade until completing Middle school. KCC, stands by their mission statement. We utilize the Multiple Intelligence which makes our school able to better reach and keep our students engaged. I recommend KCC wherever I go for a wonderful place to work (every child’s success is important) and as a great place for your child to go to school. KCC is truly a great school and a great place to work at! I can’t see myself teaching anywhere else but KCC!
My sons are attending KCC. I have only had great experiences in both years. The teachers are very caring. They challenge my kids in their strengths and I appreciate that the teachers make a plan for your child and their needs. That shows how much they pay attention to your child and that’s what each parent would want for their child’s education. Highly recommended.
