We were having issues with our sons behavior and violence and we come to find out our 4-5 year old was spending a majority of the day playing video games that were made for 7+ yrs olds and with kids 2-3 years older than him. I truly believe that because our son was having behavioral issues and they realized he was easy to deal with when hes playing video games all day so thats why they had him doing it so much. There are so many kids in a classroom it makes sense theyd have a hard time if someone was having an issue.
However my issue with too many kids in the classroom is almost everyone working also has there kids there, there were many times when we would come in and the teacher would be super focused on her own children. There is absolutely no way there isnt nepotism happening here.
Our son has also shared with us that they had someone come in and run some sort of shooting game with all the kids where they had them shooting some sort of laser guns outside, we had been in full communication with them the entire time on what was happening with our boy and that he could not handle that sort of play. Not to mention they are seeing his behavior issues while he was there.
We thought they were trying to help us but since moving to another school I understand how much they werent and how much they didnt care about our son after theyd decided he was a problem.
We had transitioned him to gluten free and although we werent allowed to pack him lunch when they served burgers they just didnt give him a bun. If they didnt have a gluten free option they would just LEAVE HIM OUT! We came in one day and asked what they had been giving him, COOKIES. Theyd just been giving him cookies for all his snacks because that is what they had that was gluten free. I dont expect him to have a whole pantry to choose from but he should at least have similar options to the other children and should always have a bun. Like no wonder we were having so many issues.
Lastly but certainly not least our son has told us that some of the boys were inappropriately touching him. When we brought this up to the school initially they brushed it off as nothing.
Since moving to our new school our sons behavioral stuff had nearly completely cleared up. Its like we have a different son and I truly wish we had never sent him to kids r kids and thats why Im leaving this review. Please proceed with caution.
