This school is ABSOLUTELY horrible. Anyone that goes here would know. The staff are all biased and dont care about their students at all no matter how much they “act” like they do. If someone threatened you in the school dont worry! Every one of the staff members will do nothing about it! No. They wont belive your child because “their a child” we have rights too. And one right we definitely have in school is the right to feel safe. Everyone wants to feel safe at school people want their kids in a “safe ” environment but kinloch, is the exact opposite of that. They wont anything to help your child in fact they wont even listen to you. Some staff members will yell at you for no reason. In fact this school is horribly homophobic as well. You could have a straight female child sitting on her friends lap who is also a female and they will get sent to the office and probably get a detention or have a sit down with the principal just for doing something that to their eyes looks “gay” when it was a harmless act. But all around the school u see straight couples making out against walls being highly inappropriate yet they wont even get yelled at. They let straight couples do whatever they want. So this school is homophobic, and not safe at all. Im fact the last few weeks i was at this school they were doing construction. With students there. Which was highly unstable anyone could’ve gotten seriously hurt. And dont get me started on the teachers. They are unfair unless your in esol or gifted the teachers will hold person vendetta’s on your students and mess up their grades. Or besides that they make it very difficult to get good grades. For example not saying any names. One of my teachers made us write essays alot. Which is normal. Thrre was this student in my class who has had straight As all his life. He got his first B in that class even after trying his hardest and you know why? Cause he wrote past the margin. Literally no other teachers in that school work like that but her. And just cause of that she will give you an F on your paper or being your grade super low no matter how good the paper was. Teachers like this are very unfair and make it impossible for your child to do good! Another thing, if you ask for extra credit half of the time all your teachers will say “bring me makers, paper, etc” our school is so cheap teachers dont even have proper supplies. They ask students for them! As extra credit! And if they get what they wanted from a student then another student cant get the extra credit! Instead of giving extra work this is what kinloch has gone down too. It is the worst school ive ever been too and believe me, ive been to alot. They dont respect your child, they are biased, unsafe, and there teaching methods are horrible. Dont send your children here. If i could rate negative stars i would.
Had a few problems with this school. Security guards are horrible (besides Issac and Johnson) especially this one man that screams at your face and is only nice to specific kids. Maggie in the office is amazing and extremely nice to everyone. Shout out to Mr.Gardner for being the best teacher ever. Mr.Salty is really nice and funny how ever the dance teacher,Mrs.Suarez, can be extremely rude and honestly a straight up bully. She used to threaten that she would call my mom and lower my grade for absolutely no reason. First year I had her she was really nice and even gave me a nickname but the second year I decided to become teacher-aid for her and she completely changed. Rude towards me and would gossip with a student who didn’t like me. I know they would gossip between themselves because they would do it about other kids infront of me when we were still in good terms. Suarez had her list of favorites and once I wasn’t on her list her behavior towards me changed drastically, some would even call it bullying. She would call me ugly and once said that there was a girl who looked like me in the locker room, only she was pretty and I wasn’t. She even went to the girl and apologized for looking like me. (The girl didn’t even look like me) She would make fun of me saying she didn’t understand how I was in the gifted program, and blame me for absurd things like everyone in the dance going too fast. The girls aren’t allowed to wait outside the locker room and I would constantly tell them and Suarez, and no one would listen to me. I had given up and just let the girls do whatever they want, I go outside to drink water and Suarez comes out telling them they can’t be out here, she tells them she will lower their grade if they keep sitting there, and infront of everyone walks by me and says “teacher-aid your grade will be affected too.” FOR WHAT?! I was teacher-aid with another student (the one she would gossip about me with) and would make her do all the work just so she could give me a bad grade for ‘not doing anything’. Once the other student wasn’t in the class and she needed something she would ask random students instead of me.Multiple times I would arrive home crying and when my mom tried to talk to the school about it, they said it was too late in the year and that they would have a talk with her but her cruel behavior towards me never ended. Besides a cruel and bullying dance teacher and mean security, Kinloch is a pretty good school.
Staff doesn’t care very much about students, people in office are very rude and don’t listen unless the student brings the parents into the situation. In that case, they’ll care, but only slightly (meaning they won’t do anything about your situation but will act like it)
They are VERY biased people and favor students over the others. They do NOT treat every student with fairness and equality like they claim. Most of them don’t even listen to the students opinions because they believe they are wrong no matter what since they are still kids.
Not many electives in this school and most kids get stuck in electives they do not want or like because of very limited choices. Same with clubs.
Teachers can be very lazy and don’t care about the children’s discipline. Most students curse in the classes and some teachers couldn’t care less, heck some might curse with them too.
Sadly the only teacher with common sense had passed a month ago. She was the only one that bothered to make sure everyone was treated equally and fairly and loved she loved her students as if they where her own kids.
Lastly, why do the people in the office think they’re better than every student with an opinion that do not agree with what they agree. Oh you got bullied by that kid the staff liked? Well have fun getting that handled since they probably won’t care for your well being since they are incredibly biased.
Oh you’re part the LGBT? Cool just don’t tell them since they all strongly disagree with that.
Oh the teachers being a total jerk to you? K well you’re just a kid so you can’t have an opinion.
