This school is difficult and strict, like how the teachers treat us like little kids, or how they don’t care whether we have lives at home. They expect the highest of us, and when we don’t meet that expectation they get triggered real quick, and theres always comments about students worried about B’s, like who said B’s are bad, they say on the report cards that B’s are above average, so calm down with the, “Oh no, I have a B in ___’s class, I need to make it up!” You know who you are. The school food sucks and apparently you can’t bring food from restraunts or have your parents bring it because it’s againsed the rules. I kind of understand the no free lunch since no one is really old enough to drive to get food, but still, REALLY WE ARE THE ONLY HIGH SCHOOL TO NOT HAVE OPEN LUNCH, DOESN’T THAT SAY SOMETHING. They need to co-ordinate class homework, project, and tests better so that students don’t loose their minds when they have 3 projects, 2 work sheets, and 4 tests in the same week. The only way reason that I recommend this school is because you get an Associates Degree without having to pay for the college hours and because most of the students were really nice and friendly, MOST, not all. DON’T COME HERE IF YOU DON’T LIKE CHALLENGES OR HARDWORK, BECAUSE THATS ALL THEY OFFER HERE.
In this school you must be strictly focused on your education. Or you will be thrown off track. It is very stressful. But I feel 85% of that stress isn’t the work. We are treated like middle schoolers. And are given absolutely no freedom. Our school is the only high school in Killeen that does not give off campus lunch. It is honestly ridiculous to me. Because we work hard everyday at this school. If anything I think the students would be happier if we had some freedom.
And had a vending machine in our cafeteria. And everyone jokes about suicide. If a spectator came into our school. That’s all they would hear. Students joking about dying. That is not right and surely should not be happening. Sure it’s hard here but the environment can get better. And we go to a High School. We need to be treated like High Schooler’s. This school needs to improve there environment. Drastically.
The population of this school makes suicide jokes on the daily. there is not a day that goes by that i do not make a few jokes about death with my friends. the school puts too much stress on us, too many projects get handed out at once. we have no freedom, and i got stuck in ISS for wearing slides. we are told they treat us the way they do because scouts only want “professional kids”, but i know you guys know that college students look anything but professional. we are told to put duck tape on the tiniest of holes on our jeans. the teachers still treat us as if we are kids, mostly because they have no experience with high school students. do not waste your time coming here unless you wish to contemplate death about 4 times a day.
