had a scheduled tour for today. Went in and they seemed very unprepared. The facility smelled so strong of bleach with an underlying smell of human fecal matter, it was making me sick to my stomach. I noticed 3 exposed outlets that had pieces missing. There was dust in the corners and on window. The ceiling tiles were stained with water spots. Both boys and girls were using toilets in this closet type room, which in a daycare laws is against the law. Male and females must be separate. Children in the infant room had rashes that honestly looked like hand, foot and mouth. When I asked the assistant program director what learning program they use, she did not know and waited for the program director to give us a program folder. Not event the DIRECTOR could tell me what learning program they use. She did not face us while she was barely going over the program folder with me. While the program director was writing her contact information her, she was talking to the assistant about personal matters that honestly should not be discussed in front of potential parents. They should have been actively engaged with me and informing me more about their program. It was like they could care less about wanting my business. When I scheduled the tour, the company informed me that they had two spots available, when I mentioned that to the program director, she informed me that she might have one in May. There is no communication. Waste of my time. It was so loud and chaotic. I heard great things about this program, but I am very very disappointed. My child WILL NOT be attending. The state needs to go in and whip that place into shape.
La Petite Academy is the best daycare in town. The first person I met was the director Ms. Connie. I walked in just to get information, but Ms. Connie gave me a tour and answered every question I asked. That was a big deal for me because other daycares I visited had scheduled appointments for me to come back. I was wondering why they was unable. That rub me the wrong way because your daycare facility should be inspection ready at all times, and it’s not a good business move to let the person leave.

La Petite is a very clean facility. All the providers wear uniforms. The moment you walk in their is someone greeting you and your child. Plus, they have fruit out for you to take or sometimes they make a breakfast bag for the parents. Also, they are very organized. For the 1 year old room, they send home daily reports of your child meals, mood, naps, and diaper changes. The most important is the secure building. You have to get buzz in or know the code.

I’m very thankful I found La petite. They are BEST around. I have a 1 year old who loves coming to daycare. She is very attached to me but I have no issues with dropping her off. That right there lets me know they are very caring. Every time I pick her up she is very clean with the same attire I put on her.

I would highly recommend La Petite Academy in Deltona,Fl to anyone who wants the best quality care for their child. They are open early as 6:30 am and close at 6:30 pm.

My daughter went here for a few months & I really held my tongue with them. I would like to say they did potty train my 3 year old, so that’s on the positive but I watched the camera so much & I saw my daughter get up & go to the bathroom by herself & saw her left in the bathroom for 20+ mins by herself while the teacher was busy doing something else. Luckily, my husband’s grandma came & picked her up but she was still on the toilet when she got there. I felt that this was ridiculous & was very upset. Before that, I saw a little girl pulling a hair tie out my daughters hair & my daughter being a 3 year old is screaming & the teacher was literally staring at the wall while all of this was happening. So we called & they said “they had it handled” as I’m watching the camera & had to see my daughter get up & tell the teacher before she even did anything about the situation. Also, they’re super short staffed so expect to pay and your kid not be able to go at least once a week. They stopped me at the door saying they closed early preschool & my daughter couldn’t attend, no message on the app or anything. As a 2 parent household where both parents work, this was very important to me & so many times we ran into them closing her class. Also, a 3 year old obviously cannot wipe themselves & so many times my daughter came home not wiped correctly. In conclusion, I would not send your kid here & I regret letting my daughter go here.
