La Petite Academy of Germantown, Germantown | Fees, Rankings, Address, Admission, Vacancies, Reviews & More

This review is for the Germantown Location. My 2 little ones have been enrolled in the daycare for over a year now. I’ve never had any issues, until last week when I got home and found my daughter in tears. She explained she was yelled at by Ms. Kesha. We had never had a problem with her so I wanted to know exactly what happened.
I immediately contacted the new director, Ms. Tongue, who said she investigated the incident and said no one had yelled at my daughter. Obviously she has to cover her staff and herself. I asked to meet and speak about the incident to which I had to wait until she was available, leaving me without daycare for days.
At the meeting the teachers involved in the incident did not attend. There was no point in continuing a meeting where the person that yelled at my daughter was not there. At no point in time did she apologize for how my daughter felt.
The day prior I had dropped off a form for them to sign so I could take them to another daycare, to which she said someone else had picked up and I told her that was not true because I didn’t have anyone picking up the form for me. She then proceeded to look at her desk and said it wasn’t there anymore. Thankfully I had an extra copy at home. When I came back she didn’t allow me in the building because she claimed I called her a liar, which was not false because she lied about someone picking up the form. She accused me of snatching the form from her. Definitely glad I won’t be taking them there anymore. This place really needs a caring, kid friendly type director, Ms. Tongue is not.

I chose La Petite over other schools in the Germantown area for my son for its cleanliness and teachers. Its been two years since my son is with La Petite, He is very happy and looks forward to go to school everyday ,the teachers are awesome too. Any concerns that I have Ms.Jordan, Director of the School took immediate steps to remediate and made sure we are comfortable

Teachers like Ms.Tarika, Ms.Latisha and Ms.Dominique are really great and took care of the little ones really well. Now my son goes to Pre-K (Ms.Rima is the teacher). She is just amazing and pays special attention to each children in her class room and teaching the kids not only academics but also manners, She also encourages the kids to eat well and also drink water from time to time.

I really appreciate the effort and time that the teachers at the school put in to develop confidence in the child. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to enroll their children at La Petite.
