I registered in La petite Samamamish center while 3 months pregnant. My son finally got a spot when 14months old and we could not wait to start. When I registered with Ms Ellen and Victor (Assistant director) in 2021 they were so nice, the center was doing well. However, things quickly changed during our first tour. Turns out the whole management changed. The new director, Ms. Felicia Wray is the most dishonest, disrespectful and apathetic person.

1. During our tour, Ms Felicia was very rude and not forthcoming with answers to questions asked. For example, I asked for my son’s classroom since when the teacher has been there (I knew teacher rotation was a problem)- Her response was between 1 to 30 years experience!!! When my son started I came to know the teacher was just 3 days in!! She lied to our face.

2. My son started on 2nd August and our access code to our door was not set. This was on management. On 5th august she threatened us over email with a $$ fee for missed punches. Our access code was not set and toddler crying due to starting daycare did make us forget to punch twice, we had to wait 15mins to pickup our toddler cause access code will not work and no one was at front desk to open door. She argued back and forth and will not take accountability. Finally on her day off, we were able to work with the assistant director Ms Neha to get our access fixed.

3. The toddler playground was really filthy and we asked her once is there a cadence to cleaning of the play area. Her response was “DO I look like a landscaper to you?”. This was a casual communication and she was so blatantly rude. Later in the day she emailed us threatening to remove our son if we are unhappy with the playground. She mentioned we are wrongly accusing her!!

4. In toddler 12mo+ classroom the new teacher was showing peppa pig cartoon on IPAD. On the 4th day, my son was being continuously hit by another toddler behind the new teacher’s back. We had to pick him up within 2 hours while seeing the footage and I did call Ms Felicia out on this. The American pediatric board does not recommend screen time and La petite website also states the same. I was scared for my son’s safety due to the teacher not paying attention.

4. Two wonderful teachers Ms Emily who was there for 8 years who helped my son get adjusted and Ms Caitlin the lead teacher for 2’s quit within two weeks and the center closed the toddler room. It has been 3 weeks and the center has closed the toddler room.

There is a reason why the two most senior teachers quit and why parents are making noise for Ms Felicia. Not once was my child greeted in the morning when we came to drop him off. Not Once. She has lied and belittled us everyday. I understand hiring teachers Is tough, but the management should take note to replace the director. It took us 3 emails to get our weekly fee adjusted. She cannot greet parents, she is rude, does not understand how access code or payment setup works. I wonder what exactly she does. She should change profession as childcare is not her calling.

I would highly recommend not to send your kid to this daycare until management changes. I have provided this feedback to the la petite management and will be reaching out the regional director as well.

P.s: The only good review posted for Ms.Felicia here by Lucy2106 is actually herself!! There is no staff that works there and if you meet her in person, you will notice that. Shame on you Ms Felicia for faking reviews for yourself.

I decided to change my rating of LaPetite Sammamish from 5 star to 1 star and also decided to share reasons behind it.

Unfortunately there has been a recent change in the leadership at the facility and I am afraid that things have taken turn for the worse. The new director Ms. Felicia Wray appears to be managing the facility with an iron fist. There has been a sudden rise in messages sent to parents which assume threatening tone. Constant reminders to be charged if kids are picked up even a minute late. Messages with strong tone reminding to always check-in and check-out your kid and failing to do so would incur additional charges. I had to argue on multiple occasions with her because she “suspected” that my kid was sick and by putting my kid at the facility, I am endangering health of other kids. I had to explain very eloquently at multiple occasions that we wouldn’t leave our kid at the facility if our kid is unwell. Things recently crossed our limits when she again decided to speak rudely with us and made us feel unwelcome. Needless to say we took out our kid from this place. I feel a bit sad as the previous director Ms. Elaine would work with us like a team and address any issues. I also feel that the facility has some excellent care givers like Ms. Caitlin and Ms. Emily, but the director makes the facility unattractive as the things start from the top! I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone unless there is a change in the current leadership.

My son went La Petite , his first year was good there was this Afgani caregiver (bless her heart) who is so amazing to my child and others children as well. then once he turn to 1 he moved to another class. Then the problem started when i change his diaper i start seeing scratches. and remind you i make sure i file my nails well since i had him then i went to his school and start to investigate during drop off and pick up and saw one of his teachers nail so long those acleric extensions super long for me atleast , i dont even know how and why the school allowing this. I even wanted to nicely tell her but she was so uninviting dont say hello back during drop off or pickup, she just seem to be forced to be there.
so I Immediately went to the principal and told her this is unacceptable to my family why i am seeing scratches all over his waist and diaper area. she said she will talk to her . Then i saw her moved to another class for few weeks then back to the younger kids class again. i was pissed i had to move out my kid. so pay attention to who your caregivers are you dont hear news this days about miscarrying kids for no reason. I AM SO Grateful for the first year there are some amazing people who are just gifted and some are just doing it as a job. Either way there are no Better Management can fix this type of issue. So good luck to you
