Lengthy, but hopefully helpful account of my experience: My son has been attending La Petite Sugarland for the better half of this year, and it has been a very rewarding experience. The activities are age appropriate and geared towards development; and fun for the kids! The facility is clean and well kept-I have never smelled anything other than food (which my son loves) or cleaning products. There are opportunities for extracurricular activities and programming for parents (which I intended to take advantage of but my schedule just didn’t allow). Parental well being is encouraged by parent’s night out where the staff graciously extend their day and allow us to be able to have kid free time to use as we please. Each day we are greeted by staff, and I have not had one negative encounter. Everyone is always positive and kind to myself and my son. I have seen him progress and grow in our short time here, and for that I am thankful. Security and safety are a priority, with codes and diligent staff who monitor incoming and outgoing persons. I love that I am able to check in on my son via the camera system, and also receive updates regularly during the day via the app from teachers. I can truly say that this is one of the best day care experiences I have had. Being a first time parent comes with a lot of uncertainty and all of the staff at this location have made me feel secure and go about my work days with ease knowing that my toddler is in good hands. Thank you to every single one of the staff here! 🙂 Please consider sending your babies here, they will be in great hands, and I believe it will be a great experience.
From the moment we inquired about a tour, Ms Petra and her team have been so friendly and accommodating! I reserved a spot for my baby a couple of months before she was born and I never had doubts that this is where I wanted her to be once she arrived. I was blessed that my daughter is a social butterfly, so she has had a really easy transition to day care, and has loved every minute of the personalized attention that all of her teachers (and new friends) have given her! As a nervous first-time parent, this place has been a dream! They have cameras and report all activities throughout the day through an app. This makes me feel so involved with her day and also gives me an idea of how her schedule is evolving as she is developing. Every single one of her teachers are so loving and gentle with her and are meticulous in keeping up their diaper/feeding schedules. Nothing but good vibes from all of them! Every morning when I walk in, the teachers from the other classes wish me a good morning and ask how I am doing. You can tell they all love their jobs….and the kids! The kids are always so happy and I hardly ever hear any of them crying (unlike some other local daycare centers which seem to loaded with unhappy teachers and kids engaged in a scream-fest!). If you are hesitant to pick a school for your baby, donÂ’t. You wonÂ’t find a team as great as this one!
A big reason we chose this daycare is because of the staff. Many have been with La Petite for 20+ years, which speaks volumes. This is not just a job to most of them; they truly love and care for the kids and take pride in providing an enriching environment for them to learn and grow. The best part is that my son loves his teachers, especially Ms. Nikhat and Ms. Shecita, and I can tell they enjoy having him there too. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s safe and happy in their care each day. I also appreciate the camera access because I admit that throughout the day I just miss my little guy and enjoy using the video to check in and see him smiling and playing. Plus, the staff do a good job of publishing updates in the app after each feeding, diaper change, and nap, so I have an idea of his schedule and how his day has gone. The school’s director and assist director are amazing as well and always communicate clearly with anything that’s going on. Every time we walk in the door, they immediately put a huge smile on my little one’s face!
