RSV was going around this
daycare and they decided not to tell any parents. While they knew this they used my baby as a distraction from at least one older child who didn’t want to leave their parents in the morning in front of my fiancé. I confronted them about this and They said that would never happen I said check the cameras and LOW AND BEHOLD they are all live so you can’t go back and and see any sort of negligence. How convenient! Becca priest (daycare “leadership”)didn’t even tell me about rsv going around until I called to tell her that Caitlyn had it she actually admitted that her baby was out last week from being sick and the lead teachers admitted her son was out the week before for being sick. He was ALWAYS in the babies room hovering over my daughter right in front of my fiancé. When I complained to Kim who is above Becca all she did was make excuses for the staff that didn’t even align with the what their paper said about sick kids, That they would separate a child that started showing symptoms of being ill. She also lied about Becca posting a paper on the door about rsv. Nobody knew until Becca made a post on their app saying it was going around which was the day I called about my daughter. Neither of them could even keep up with their own lies. It was deny deny deny and said its impossible to separate all the kids with a cough and runny nose and that they only send kids home with fevers or if they vomit. First of all yes! It is possible! And Keep them away from the BABIES!!!! Second, Caitlyn never had a fever while she had rsv, however she would choke on her own phlegm! As a daycare you should know how contagious and dangerous RSV is and that a fever doesn’t always occur!
They put older kids in the same room as the Infants room and let them hover over my daughter as I would see on camera. Because of this my 4 month old baby girl ended up in the ER because she’s so sick. Thank God she’s insured because of all the treatments they had to do and that was only for temporary relief. We were sent home with a nebulizer otherwise she would have had to be admitted. To say I’m angry is an understatement.
this place is outrageously expensive and they are beyond lazy from what I would see on the cameras. My baby was ALWAYS on her back causing her to have a flat head. We brought extra bottles because she was going through a growth spurt and said multiple times to feed her more than 4 oz at a time and they refused and kept sending the bottles back. She would come home screaming because she was so hungry. On top of all
Of this my fiancé and I both missed work due to catching rsv. Mine turned into pneumonia which isn’t going away and now I have to to back to the hospital. I don’t have PTO so I have lost a lot of money!
These people don’t care about you or your babies!
you should be ashamed of yourselves!
****To respond to the comment below, I have tried and DANIELLE NEVER returned my call..costumer service called me two or three times to see if she reached out and I told them
To not bother as It’s been well over 2 weeks since I called and nothing. Stop acting like you care.
We’ve had a wonderful experience at La Petite on Schroeder Rd. Our 5-month-old son has been in the infant room since he was 2 months old. I am lucky enough to work right down the street, and the teachers allow me to drop in any time I want during the day to visit with him. It is obvious the teachers and the director genuinely love the kids and want what is best for them. I love that they do activities even with the babies. This year they gave us a Christmas ornament with his footprints, and a Valentine’s Day card with his picture–those are gifts that we will cherish forever. A few other things I love: the classrooms are big and bright with lots of natural light. They do a great job of keeping the place very clean and organized. There is more ethnic diversity among the staff and students than other daycares I visited, which is important to us. The weekly tuition is on par or more reasonable than most other places in Madison. And I love that if you have to keep the baby home for a full week (e.g., if you’re going on vacation), you only have to pay 1/2 the weekly amount. Overall, I highly recommended it!
La Petite has been wonderful for us to say the least. My son is not a problem child but has issues around nap time due to anxiety. Instead of helping him around that, past schools have made it a bigger problem, creating behavioral and psychological problems that had not been there before and several schools have kicked him out without working with us. La Petite is the first school, public or private, to actually try to help our son and come up with creative ideas around the issue and it’s helped immensely. The director deserves an award for how hard she works to keep everything running smoothly and excelling at giving these kids a great education and helping parents with kids like ours. 5+ stars for sure. There isn’t anything she won’t do for these kids and that beyond impresses me. Highly recommended.
