If there was a way to rate them -100 stars i would do it. My son Leo has autism when I register him for vbk I was told him back on July 7th the day of his birthday that I was going to be able to bring his therapist. I want to registration and I had to call at the end of July because apparently they did not have me on the list. I was given assurances I was given hope that they were going to treat my son like he deserves and take care of him. On the Friday before school started I went there to take my packet for registration I spoke to Stephanie the assistant director and I was told that the therapist will come in I was told that there were going to be no issues with Leo in regards to this they were a lot of things changing to took all of it but she didn’t think that this was going to affect Leo in any way. Wrong… lies deceit that is all I was provided. Bridget the director knew what was happening they were going to be no therapists coming in the center and never informed me of this I paid my tuition and the first week of classes and Monday morning when my husband took my son for his first day of classes at that school along with his ABA therapist he was found with the situation they are no longer accepting therapists. So peeps this happened on Monday morning the very first day that my son was supposed to start classes. On top of that I try to get a refund and it’s been over 10 business days and I don’t have my refund for that registration and tuition that I paid and they took it obviously very fast. So kind words for the parents leave that place horrible place you do not do this to children you do not make promises and guarantees and suddenly step back on it on a child that needs help because nobody is helping me because my child has autism so shame on you lapetite academy!
I’m never the type to write a bad review. I placed my child in this school in January and removed him May. In five months I’ve lost count of how many incidents reports were signed (Give or take 8) not including the incidents that I witnessed on cameras and were never reported to me. This was my child’s first school, he was never the one to hit or cause trouble. I am a very patient person and do understand that accidents with little ones will happen. But after MANY chances, no improvements were ever made.

In the 5 months he was in the two year old class I witnessed him being punched, pinched, scratched, hair pulled, pushed on the floor, and kicked by other kids. He had come home with a very harsh bite mark that was NEVER reported to me. It was only a concern when I showed up a week later after finding scratch marks and questioned what was happening in the class.

The cameras provide a false sense of security. Teachers are not well staffed to keep an eye on all children at all times. You bring up your concerns to the owner Bridget and her response is “I can’t promise you this wont happen again”. Incident report magically missing from my child’s file. You have to be delusional to think these behavior occurring as often as it did to my son is normal . She’ll go on to explain all these wonderful programs they offer to kids with behavior issues while the innocent kids are used as punching bags.

After being called again that my son had yet another bite mark and a nose bleed within a week I had enough and told them to pack his bags he would not be return. No one ever reached out to me to voice my concerns. So unprofessional. I’m so disgusted I chose la petit academy as my son’s first school and ashamed I gave them to many chances. Run away from this joke of a school.
