I, however, prefer that students address their teachers by their titles and last names, treat their “special classes” (Spanish, art, music) teachers with respect, and witness by example that the first rule of learning is discipline.
The administration is very relaxed and finds communication a difficult burden but very sweet nonetheless. The only male around is the janitor who doesn’t speak English, so the children lack a sense of strong masculinity in their school day. Laissez faire schooling has proven to be unsuitable for our family.
