I believe most people who are reviewing this school are leaving reviews for the public library, thus the inflated 4-star average. From a student perspective this school is not very good. If you do/are attending, ask lots of questions. The administration doesn’t really tell you anything in regards to what is necessary. You need to file something for Financial Aid? you are waiting for someone to ask “why didn’t you file this?” before you realize it’s necessary. “Sorry that’s past the deadline.”, . . . there was a deadline?? You want to seek a degree? expect a guidance counselor to tell you “yea, that’s good” . . . ok how should I go about it? and that’s if you request an appointment with your guidance counselor, who is assigned to you and you never knew, and is on a different campus. If a guidance counselor is assigned to you wouldn’t you think you would hear from them to, you know, . . . guide you?

I’m not going to be a pessimist and state this school doesn’t care about you, I don’t believe they do but I don’t know that for sure. The administration certainly doesn’t teach you HOW to further your education, and for a college that’s not a good thing. This isn’t just my experience either. I’ve spoken to many other students and they all say the same thing, “I wish I would have known about . . .”, or “I wish I would have contacted this person”, or “I wish I was told this before I attempted this”, etc. So, go elsewhere? Not too sure on how other local colleges are. If you do attend here ask lots of questions. Even open ended ones like “is there anything else I should know?”. You will be glad you did.

Went to this school for a few years, definitely would not recommend it. They did not want me to graduate and kept getting me to try and take more classes that ultimately did not help me. I finally was able to graduate in 2016, and when I received my diploma it was misspelled. When I called the front help desk they asked if I did not spell it correctly and she was extremely rude. It was not until last year that I was finally able to get my diploma replaced with my correct name. I would recommend Valencia or Polk State over this school, both will actually want you to succeed and move on to a university, or career.
Cooper memorial library is very nice for book selection, programs, and community events. The library is next to a college and on the same campus as a high school. The staff are very friendly. There is also a bookstore is a bookstore with things that you can buy at the college campus on the grounds of the facility. This building is 2 stories and has stairs or an elevator.
