Some places just deserve that big 5 star review, and this is one of them. I was driving through Wisconsin on a Saturday after fixing my car, and I happened to pass Kenosha. I was already planning on getting my PPL with a rotorcraft rating, so when I saw the sign for kenosha airport, I went on a whim to see if Lakeshore was open. Long story short, I knock on the door and a few people are in the hangar as I walk in. Immediately, there was no feeling of discomfort or interruption, and the staff and students alike stopped what they were doing to answer all my questions while also sharing their experiences. I have never felt such immediate attraction to a place as I did here, and the people were just incredible – almost to the point where I knew I made new friends without question. That’s how great this place was. The aircraft were all super clean, and the place itself was really clean. It reminded me of what a hangar was supposed to be – a place to share knowledge, interact, and just spend good time on the airfield.
I wasn’t even trying to schedule my first training day, but I was so impressed that I scheduled it. Guess I’m a student pilot again.
This is in answer to Dana’s review. I am an owner of Lakeshore Helicopter, and I have to say that we have not done any business with Dana. I don’t know why you would give a negative review of a place you haven’t even been to. That said, we try hard to keep all of our customers satisfied and hope that you really do give us a try. We hire only the safest, most qualified pilots in the Midwest.
