My daughter phone was stolen from locker after the first day she took her iPhone which is not cheap. It doesn’t end there I fully understand the chances of it being stollen my child first year there coming from Montebello school district where the school staff and parents work as a team to keep our children safe wow what a shock . I am ill spoke to the principal who’s far from a pal told me it was my daughter’s fault because she broke the law by bringing the phone? Ok so since I’m sure there is more than positive most kids have cell phones he says they can’t afford school police there but it’s not done the whole conversation he yelled threw my words as my voice is weak constantly saying they won’t pay for the phone even though not once did I ask for payment he says ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM MY CONCERN HOW IS THE SCHOOL SAFE IT TOOK 2 DAYS FOR A CALL BACK JUST TO BE YELLED AT. THE NEXT DAY MY CHILD SAYS HER FRIEND MONEY WAS STOLLEN FROM HER LOCKER. I KNOW the kids make the school big question how will they follow rules if this is the example the PRINCIPAL shows it’s not a big deal to be violated since what happens in the school is not his problem. Just so you know phone service is to make sure my child safe from bus to school and home and back. Us at parents need to keep calling school board till it is rectified starting with the Principal no I won’t buy books from there I don’t want to contribute nor have my child there it will be a very long 2 years.
This school is really bad in my opinion because there are multiple teacher that are not professional at all. Such as Mr. Baschoff. Literally Me and a few other students have caught him staring at girls, favoring girls over boys, and even talking about sexual references that shouldn’t be discussed at a middle school. Although he is one of the teacher who are bad, you might enjoy some time at this school because there are some teacher such as Mrs. Osterberg, Mrs.Davis, and Mrs.Mondragon who are a blast. They may be strict at times, but they do it so they learn. I had each of these teachers and I felt like I actually learned in his class, unlike Mr.Baschoff, His way of teacher is ‘interesting’ He is supposedly a Science and Math teacher, but he only favors Science! Also he barely teaches at all, he makes you look up everything in the book with these things he assigns called ‘Notebook checks’. They are just Vocab words and simple questions you can find online, seriously a fifth grader could complete one of those no problem! And halfway through the year he only does Science experiments and doesn’t teach science at all and barely even teaches math! Although he is supposed to be a Math teacher as well. One of the worst teachers at this school, and one of the worst schools I have experienced Period.
Ok, so I attended to Lakeview last year. During my 7th grade year, I had bad experience. The kids where rude, the stuff was not doing their job. During my 8th grade things got LITTLE BIT better. They didn’t let me change my classes, the counseling system is so bad. The bathroom were always nasty and unclean. And they forced to stay there for 9th grade. NO WAY I would never go back to that school. I’m glad I choosed Victor as my high school. I feel so sorry for the 9th graders and up…
