I graduated class of 2018 and I just wanted to say for anyone going to lamar louise curry good luck. This school was a nightmare. It was so strict I was terrified everyday going to this school. If you didnt have your shirt tucked in or a belt you would be given detention or even SCI. In 6th and 7th grade kids would bully me because of my hairstyle, their was fights practically everyday, the kids in the school were mostly made up of bullies (male and female).There are even teachers that would bully students. Here are the list of teachers that you should watch out for during your years at curry. Dr.Mujica, first off this teacher was a perve he would flirt with girls and give them more rights then the males. For example we had a project which was planned for 2 months I had presented my project and he gave me a C. Then the girl that sat next to me said “I didnt do my project.” Yet Dr.Mujica still excused her for it and put an x on the grade book (which means it doesnt effect your grade). So one day I had forgotten to do a homework assignment so he decides to give me a detention because I’m a male. Next teacher is Ms.Valdes de Quesada I dont think she’s in the school anymore but if she is then I would reccomend trying to get switched out. She would constantly make my life hard, she would scream at me for no reason, she made me stand up in front of the class for the whole period. Next up is Mr.Raymond I hated every minute of his class. You cant even understand him because of his Haitian accent. And most importantly he never taught anything. One time a kid in a class threw a Gatorade bottle at his head and he blamed it on me and gave me a detention and a SCI. I went to high school not knowing anything about algebra because he never taught anything. Last but not least probably one of the worst teachers ive ever had was Mr.Flores. He would act out for everything. He would call security for no reason, he would throw things off his desk when he got mad. Once he almost hit a student (but he didn’t). Well yeah that was basically my horrible years of Lamar louise curry. Good luck if you’re going to this school.
This school has been an overall bad experience for me. I would like to note one very important part of the the school that is horribly wrong the security. The security guards, specifically Ms. Lee, do not enforce the rules as they should. She publicly favors the children that receive low grades and multiple suspensions. In several cases she is seen and observed giving unusual punishments to the “gifted” and “advanced” students while giving little to no punishment to the “thugs” of the school, clearly favoring them. Another aspect I would like to note about the school is the teacher Ms. De Armas. She is overly strict and has publicly humiliated several students in front of their peers causing indirect bullying. Another teacher that I would like to mention is Mr. Arroyo. He is an algebra/geometry teacher that is incredibly lazy. He leaves all the needed knowledge and material that needs to be taught right before the EOC ( the math end-of-course exam ) and then proceeds to unload several packets of work that the students have not been taught. He is known to teach several chapters in the span of one period, leaving the students confused and unable to complete the assigned homework. Overall, there are only a few select teachers that truly teach their students the needed material.
Please as a student who has endured three years at this school, if you do send your child here watch over them carefully.

I know if I were to take the science FSA I would fail because the whole entire year my teacher didn’t teach he just talked about his life , like no one cares about your life how about you start teaching ! Also this school is SUPER strict !!! Like WOW I hate this school so much . my confidence has lowered so much since I got here . They are MANY bullies at this school so unless you want your child do get bullied don’t send them here ! This school has terrible children and even people saying someone is selling drugs . The meanest teachers ever !!!!! I thought this was going to be a new and good beginning for me … guess I was wrong !
