I’ve been lucky to have two children attend Lara Lake Primary School. I have witnessed firsthand the school’s unwavering commitment to student welfare. LLPS embodies a strong culture of wellbeing and belonging, ensuring the safety and connection of students. The sense of pride in the Lara Lake Way extends beyond the gates and boundaries of the school. LLPS’s dedication to student wellbeing is visible by initiatives like the Wellbeing dogs program, which welcomed two beloved furry companions into our community.

LLPS prioritises inclusive decision-making through its strong and passionate leadership, including the School Leadership Team, School Council, Kidslinks, and Student Representative Council. This ensures that every voice is heard fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration and community.

My child was assaulted by another student from this school. After lodging a case with the Police, I was told that the problem lied with the school as the child was under the age of 12. The school tried sweeping it under the carpet and wanted the problem to disappear to save face. The education department and the teachers are incapable of supporting children with special needs that are bullied and intimidated by other kids due to demographics. The school will not support ASD/ADHD children. The school was forced to support exit due to incompetence by uneducated teachers and their so called, ‘Wellbeing’ Policies. This school doesn’t have an ‘Anti-bullying’ policy, they have a ‘Wellbeing’ policy. The teachers are straight out of uni and have no worldly experience or they have been teaching for 30+ years and are putting these kids in the too hard basket. Look for another school if you have a 2e gifted child.
This is the best school I have been at best teachers and ms Bennett and Mr freeman are the best
My 2 Kid’s attend LLPS, .my son is in grade 3 n my daughter is in grade 1. They hate it when holidays come up! Teacher’s are really helpful n really care for students welfare n leaning also the school grounds are always we’ll keep n very clean same as inside buildings,If you are looking @ a School for your lil One make sure you look @ Lara Lake.Matt.
This was a good enough school once. In recent times though I have been thoroughly disgusted in the treatment by particular people , that and their one size fits all approach, which I admit is partly the Edu system (pure failure). Unless you are foolish enough to do Exactly as directed, the manipulation and outright dishonest coercion I have witnessed was appalling to ensure you comply and adapt. Especially if you have a special needs child, go elsewhere, your kids will be a lot better off if you do. Stand up for your self and your kids, only you truly car for their needs, no kidding. My cousin had his sons there also, same experience.
