My review is based on personal experience, as it is well documented this school was previously priding itself on the the vision to create a safe and caring environment, up until the start of 2023 I believe this was the case, there has been a large change in teachers as well as a new principle, over the course of 2023 we have seen a lot of bullying starting to creep into everyday behaviour not only with our son but other parents children, this ranged from verbal abuse to also now becoming physical abuse, we have raised matters with the class teachers which seems to go unresolved to the point children are starting to refuse going to school, the new principle is putting such a large emphasis on the children attending 100% of school and putting them up on a pedestal. There are many reasons children can’t attend school, domestic violence, serious illness, covid & sensory issues just to name a few, them children are made to feel second rate not only in newsletters but in front of class mates. I feel the school has really dropped the ball on the no bullying culture and worried more about attendance rates. I would recommend that anyone looking at this school for their children speak with other parents before making the decision to ensure it is the right for your child, if your child has issues socialising or is a little different they will find themselves having a tough time as the school moto is not what is currently being offered at this school.
