The transportation for our children to school is absolutely horrid. They are never on time they are either 30 minutes late or 15 minutes early. This causes issues for parents who have to work or have appointments or need to be somewhere. Who has the time to sit at a bus stop for 30 minutes with their small children because the bus driver can’t get the route down and can’t show up on time? There have actually been times where the bus didn’t show up at all or drove right by without even stopping even though my child and I were physically standing at the bus stop. Unfortunately any time I try to talk to somebody about this all I get is excuses and nobody takes responsibility and apparently there’s nobody that’s in charge that can make these things happen appropriately. It’s shameful that this job of transporting our young children can not be done more efficiently or effectively. Someone needs to take responsibility and action and look into the system to find out what is wrong.
The only reason I’m giving this one star is because Google won’t allow me to give it a half star. I am watching my friends daughter, and I called this morning to ask what time her bus is scheduled to come. The woman who answered the phone when asked what time the bus was scheduled responded, “Um, well did you check the roster?” So I said, “Ma’am, I’m just trying to find out what time bus #*** is scheduled to come.” She then said, “… but did you check the roster?” To which I responded, “Ma’am, are you going to tell me what time the bus comes or not?” She then let out a huge sigh and said, “Ugh, what school is it?” Now I understand that I have a young voice, but I’m not a child and I do not deserve to be treated with disrespect. If they don’t know what customer service is, why are they answering the phone?!
MacArthur middle bus 735 scolding kids that they werent at the bus stop when it arrived this morning 15 MINUTES earlier than it ever has before. Being told this is the new time and if they arent out there from now on theyre walking to school. Why is there zero communication to parents about changes like this? You cant just expect these kids to know this information that you havent even put out.
Emailed the head of transportation and immediately got a response of Thank you for letting us know. Clearly an automated response, and clearly this issue will not be looked into.
We just moved here, and our last district would NEVER allow such unprofessionalism and lack of communication.
