Im concerned that my child attends this school . The environment is not welcoming, which is a reflection of the Principal and subculture within the school. If you can help it, DO NOT send your child to this school, especially if you’re a minority whether it be religion or color of your skin. The air of entitlement is breathed in by the faculty, and exhaled unto the children. They have no respect for the student. I cringe everytime I have to drop my child off, and or pick HER up from school. On numerous occasions I’ve overheard them speak about students in front of other parents to include any child within earshot. Today, my daughter witnessed eye rolling and commentary about me, and when I brought it to the attention of one of the staff that participated, She didn’t deny, but informed me and the Principal, she didnt know what eye rolling meant? Joke. While, i waited patiently for the principal, not only did she roll her eyes at me, but distorted her face ( some people shouldn’t do that by the way,) and on the Principal’s arrival pulled out my child’s card, which only proved that she did have a vendetta, and my child had noticed and seen what she reported to me on arrival: Shame on You! What bothered me the most was the Principal kept reporting to me previous positive reactions with this staff and other students. So, does that negate her negative reaction in front of my child? Nope. Ted Bundy was known as charismatic and trust worthy and yet he was a serial killer. Bottom line is bullies and individuals with a manipulative behavior, often present differently when people of authority are observing. If she was responding to me like that in front of the Principal, How is she treating students, when no one is watching? Concerned parent.
I went here starting in 1986 in 3rd grade. It is one of my worst school memories. Not only was there incessant bullying I also had a racist, cruel and vindictive teacher named Mrs. Eisenberg. I can vividly remember her making me cry while I was trying to use the computer telling me that black people can’t use the computer right. She was a horrible teacher and human being but at the time I was too young to realize how wrong she was. In the end it made me stronger anyway.
